FREDI BETH ROSS
MANAGING DIRECTOR, SPECIAL EVENTS
How it happened…
Fredi has made a career from the byproduct of the merger of her theatre background and degree in hotel/ restaurant management. In the world of event production, this gives her a keen insight into all angles of an event, from conception through execution.
Early years…
Fredi went the hotel route in the beginning, working for Hyatt in San Francisco, Jerusalem, and New York City. She has firsthand experience in taking an event from paper to reality. A few moves within the private sector of catering event sales in NYC brought her another layer of knowledge, taking the wants, needs and wishes of clients, and turning these into event plans.
Pivotal Moment…
“Booking events got me started thinking that the most enjoyable parts were those where I could be creative. An opportunity to get into the entertainment side of events came my way. I hadn’t thought that I would use my performing arts background from my youth again, but once I started, I did not look back”! – Fredi Beth Ross
Just A Sampling of the Productions…
Orchestras, bands, dancers, celebrity talent, and novelty talent production are the types of entertainment Fredi was drawn to when she first started producing entertainment fourteen years ago. Putting a production together, both with the talent and the technical aspects, became her passion. The first headliner she produced was Harry Belafonte with an 18 piece orchestra for a high profile fundraising event for 1,200 guests at the Waldorf Astoria. She has conceptualized and produced a number of custom and tribute acts, the first, a Tribute to Ray Charles for the NFL Commissioner’s Super Bowl event for 5,000 guests. When Thomson Financial and Reuters merged, Fredi produced the entertainment for 6 events over their two and a half day merger meeting. Intimate events are also in her wheel house such as producing Ne-Yo in honor of a Saudi Royal’s birthday for just 30 handpicked guests and Chaka Khan as a surprise for 60 guests.
And Now, her mantra…
“‘Call it Like I See it’ is the best way to describe my approach.” – Fredi Beth Ross
